Founded in 1959 by Paul Buecher, the estate has grown a lot in only two generations. Going up from 6 to 32 hectars, it is now one of the biggest independent estate in the region. The estate has passed a stage in terms of quality from the 2005 vintage.

GC Hengst Gewurzt. 2006
A smooth Hengst, already expressive in the nose, with black pepper and smoky aromas. The mouth is ample and deep with good minerality. A powerful wine to keep in order to express its potential.

GC Hengst Gewurzt. SGN 2005
The character of the Hengst is not masked by the very sweet balance and gives a powerful wine, made to be aged.

Pinot Gris Res. person. 2007
A balanced P.Gris, with a wheat and pear nose, dry in the mouth, with an acidity worthy of a Riesling. Perfect at table from now.

Pinot Gris VT 2005
A wine with a candied nose with fig and honey. Honeyed in moth with a fine acidity. An elegant wine.

Pinot Noir Rosenberg 2006
A P.Noir with a very clean fruit, supple in the mouth, with fine tannins. A nice expression of an alsatian red wine.

Riesling VT 2005
An off-dry wine with a nose of candied citrus, tender in the  mouth with a fine acidity. It will suit a dish of fish in sauce after a few years of cellaring.

Founded in 1959 by Paul Buecher, the estate has grown a lot in only two generations. Going up from 6 to 32 hectars, it is now one of the biggest independent estate in the region. The vineyard has extended beyond Wettolsheim, on varied terroirs between Niedermorschwihr and the south of Thann. The 2005 vintage reveals the progresses in quality; the grands crus, particularly, pass a stage.  commentaire_180Founded in 1959 by paul Buecher, the estate has grown a lot in only two generations. Going up from 6 to 32 hectars, it is now one of the biggest independent estate in the region. The vineyard has extended beyond Wettolsheim, on varied terroirs between Niedermorschwihr and the south of Thann. The expression of the terroir is one of the objects of the quality process. Pleasant wines that have made the estate's reputation progressively give up the place to more dense and typical cuvees, especially since Jérôme, Henri's son, has taken over the winemaking in 2002. After a light 2004 vintage, the 2005's wines show good concentration and mineral expressions.

GC Brand Riesling 2005
An "airy" wine, intense ripe citrus nose and more supple mouth with a mineral balance still marked  by a light sweetness.

GC Hengst Gewurztraminer 2003
The Hengst likes hot vintages and this 2003 has a dry balance. Powerful and spicy with typical leather and hay aromas in finish. Choose it to accompany a main dish rather than a starter or a dessert.

Crémant d'Alsace Chardonnay
From the 2004 vintage and aged more than two years on laths, this is a "airy" cremant  with a hazelnut nose. Fine bubbles and dry balance.

Riesling Réserve Personnelle 2005
Elegant, floral and slightly smoked, this wine has an ample and pure mouth.
