Grand Cru

At the top of the Alsace wines range : the AOC ALSACE GRAND CRU.

The best hillsides in Alsace have been delimited, there are 51. The wines produced from these areas bear the Grand Cru appellation followed by the name of the hillside. These cuvees are terroir wines above all : the characters of each Grand Cru get over the aromas of the grape variety.

At the Paul BUECHER estate, the privileged parcels of the Brand, the Hengst or the Sommerberg lead to more concentrated, more structured and more complex wines.

These great terroir wines have to be aged. Most of them may be enjoyed young, but they benefit from a few years of bottle-age to reveal their character.

In order to mark the difference of character between these tree terroirs, we have chosen to have a specific label for each Grand Cru.
