Riesling du Monde 2007 !

Two Rieslings of the domain Paul BUECHER have been noted at the 2007 "Riesling du monde" contest.
The Riesling is the most emblematic grape variety in Alsace, it has its origins in the Rhine valley. For centuries, it has been planted on the two banks of the river. Nowadays Riesling is produced not only in Rhineland regions, but also in the New World (Australia, United States...)
The "Riesling du monde" contest aims to compare the wines produced in all these countries and to establish a prize list. For the tenth edition, more than 500 wines from 12 countries have been tasted early february...
Two wines of our estate have been awarded :
GOLD Riesling Heimbourg 2002
SILVER Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg 2004
These wines have not been realesed yet. You should find them on our pricelists from the end 2007.
