Paul Buecher is 80 already !
Born in 1929, Paul Buecher celebrates this year his eightieth birthday.
Although the Buecher family has cared for our vineyards for several generations, Paul is the one who has developed and established the estate. He's acknowledged for his wines, of course, for his involvement in the society but also for the many stonewalls he has built in the vineyard.
It is already 25 years that Paul and Josephine have handed over the reins of the estate to their sons, but they have not moved too far away. It was not uncommon to see Paul working in the vineyard or tasting wines with long time customers. He is still present and gives sound advices.
Despite his weakened health these last few years, he makes it a point of honor to walk through the village every single day and come round to great everyone at the cellar. It is still him who puts the sealing caps on most of the bottles!
The 28th of June, Paul Buecher has celebrated his birthday surrounded by his friends, his 9 grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. He has taken the opportunity to open a few old bottles !
